James Elipas, DPM, is an experienced podiatrist at Ankle & Foot Specialists in the Norwood Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. His areas of focus include wound care, limb salvage, surgery, and regenerative medicine.
Dr. Elipas received his bachelor's degree from Loyola University in Chicago. He continued his medical education in Chicago at Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine, now named Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating in 1979.
After graduation, Dr. Elipas completed a podiatry externship at the University of Chicago in 1979 and a podiatric surgical residency at Henrotin Hospital in Chicago in 1980.
Dr. Elipas is board certified by the American Council of Certified Physicians and Surgeons, as well as the American Board of Medical Specialities in Podiatry. He also holds memberships with the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Elipas is affiliated with both AMITA Health Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, Illinois, and AMITA Health Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago. In his spare time, he holds lectures to share his medical knowledge and experience.
